This privacy policy explains how IFC Model Compare handles information when you use the app.

Summary
IFC Model Compare is designed as a local-first application. IFC model files are processed on your device and are not uploaded by the app.
The developer does not operate a server that receives your IFC model content.
IFC model files
When you select an IFC file, the app copies the selected file into its local application storage so that it can parse, compare and display the model.
The app may also create local cached viewer data to improve reopening performance.
IFC files, model geometry, object properties and comparison results are not uploaded by IFC Model Compare.
Information collected by the developer
The developer does not use IFC Model Compare to collect:
- Your IFC model content
- Your project names
- Your object properties
- Your comparison results
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Your browsing history
- Your advertising identifier
Accounts
IFC Model Compare does not require an account, login or registration.
Analytics and advertising
IFC Model Compare does not contain third-party advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics.
Network capability
The native macOS app includes the standard sandbox network-client capability required by its embedded WebKit-based viewer environment.
The app’s IFC import, parsing, comparison and viewing workflow uses packaged local runtime resources. IFC model files are not uploaded, and the app does not use a remote model-processing service.
Exported reports
Reports exported as CSV, JSON, Markdown or PDF are created locally.
You decide where exported files are saved or shared through the system share and file interfaces.
Apple services
Apple may process App Store, TestFlight, purchase, crash or diagnostic information according to Apple’s own privacy policies and device settings. This information is handled by Apple rather than by an IFC Model Compare-operated server.
Data retention
Imported models, cached viewer files and app settings remain in the app’s local storage until they are removed through the app, replaced, cleared by the operating system or deleted when the app is uninstalled.
Children’s privacy
IFC Model Compare is a professional construction and BIM utility and is not directed specifically at children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app’s functionality or privacy practices change. The latest version will be published on this page.
