What the App Does

IFC QA Reporter imports a plain .ifc file, checks common model data signals and creates a model health report.

  • Reviews file, schema and header signals.
  • Checks project structure, storeys, spaces and object naming signals.
  • Reviews property set, classification, coordinate and COBie-style readiness signals.
  • Exports structured findings to CSV.
  • Uses Apple AI assistance where available to draft summaries from extracted issue data.

Importing IFC Files

Use Choose IFC File to select a plain .ifc file from Files. The app analyses the file locally and shows a model health dashboard.

Very large files may take longer to process depending on device memory and file complexity.

Exporting CSV

Tap Export CSV to create a structured CSV report and open the native share or save sheet. You can then save to Files, copy, AirDrop, email or share the report using the options provided by the system.

Apple AI Assistance

On supported devices and OS versions, IFC QA Reporter can use Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models to help draft summaries, explain selected issues and suggest priorities from extracted QA findings.

When Apple Intelligence is not available, the app remains fully usable and shows deterministic fallback wording.

IFC QA Reporter highlights potential data quality issues. It does not certify compliance, approve a model, or replace professional BIM review.

Troubleshooting

  • The file will not import: confirm it is a plain .ifc file and that the file is available locally or in Files.
  • The report shows warnings: warnings usually indicate missing metadata, sparse classifications, weak property coverage or coordinate/geolocation signals worth reviewing.
  • Apple AI is unavailable: the app will use deterministic fallback text instead.
  • CSV does not appear: tap Export CSV again and choose Save to Files from the native share sheet.
